In October 2025, Slovakia's industrial confidence indicator experienced a decline of 6.6 points on a month-over-month basis, reaching -10.3 from -3.7 in September. This represents the lowest point observed since July 2023. The decline was primarily influenced by a significant decrease in expected production figures, which dropped from 12 in September to -10 in October. This downturn was particularly evident in the sectors of motor vehicles, trailers, semi-trailers, and other transport equipment, as well as in industries related to wood, paper, printing, and reproduction. Additionally, the current level of orders continued its downward trend, falling from -17 to -22. This decline was most notable in the manufacturing of machinery and equipment not elsewhere classified, and in basic metals and fabricated metal products, excluding machinery and equipment. Furthermore, expectations for selling prices declined from 11 to 7, and the employment outlook also saw a further deterioration, moving from -1 to -3.
