Indicators assessing households' financial condition over the past year improved to -9.2 from -9.9 in September. Similarly, perceptions of the nation’s economic situation over the same period registered a slight uptick to -39.2 from -39.5. Additionally, the gauge for the opportunity to make major purchases rose to -54.6, up from -57.2. Looking ahead, survey respondents also exhibited reduced pessimism regarding their personal financial outlook over the next year, with expectations improving to -2 from -2.2. The outlook for the country’s economic situation also saw a modest improvement, moving to -23.6 from -23.7.
