In October 2025, Zambia experienced a decline in its annual inflation rate, falling to 11.9% from 12.3% in September. This marks the sixth consecutive month of decelerating price increases and represents the lowest inflation rate since August 2023, largely attributed to the ongoing robustness of the kwacha. Specifically, food inflation decreased to 14.1% in October from 14.6% in September, while the growth in non-food prices also eased, dropping to 8.7% from 9%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices rose by 0.4%, following a 0.5% increase recorded in the prior month.
