In October 2025, Belgium's annual inflation rate experienced a slight reduction, declining to 2% from the previous month's 2.12%. This decrease was primarily influenced by a slowdown in the price increases for food and non-alcoholic beverages, which came down to 2.79% from 3.38% in September; alcoholic beverages and tobacco, which decreased to 2.10% from 3.31%; and furnishings and household equipment, which fell to 3.44% from 4.32%. Conversely, there was an acceleration in price increases for restaurants and hotels, rising to 4.38% from 3.91%, as well as for education, which increased to 2.39% from 1.61%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices rose by 0.36%, following a 0.3% decline in the previous month.
