In October 2025, China's vehicle sales experienced an 8.8% increase compared to the same month last year, reaching a peak not seen in ten months, with 3.322 million units sold, as reported by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). This follows a notable 14.9% surge in September. New energy vehicles (NEVs) saw a remarkable 20% year-on-year increase, achieving a new record of 1.715 million units sold in October. NEVs represented 51.6% of all new car sales, marking the eighth straight month of growth in this segment. Over the first ten months of 2025, overall vehicle sales rose by 12.4%, while NEV sales skyrocketed by 32.7%, making up 46.7% of all new car sales.
