In December 2025, Slovakia's consumer confidence indicator experienced a rise to -22.4, up from -24.6 in November. This represents the strongest performance since September, with improved confidence observed in three of the four components that make up the indicator. Households displayed greater optimism about their financial prospects, including an enhanced view of their overall financial situation (-9.6 compared to -12.9 in November) and their savings capabilities (-16.1 compared to -18.9). Furthermore, expectations regarding unemployment became more positive (24.5 compared to 27.2). However, there was increased concern about the future trajectory of the overall economic situation, which saw a slight decline (-39.5 compared to -39.2).
