Morocco Q3 GDP Annual Growth Slows to 4%

In the third quarter of 2025, Morocco's economy experienced a 4.0% year-over-year growth, which represents a slowdown from 5.5% in the previous quarter and from 5.0% during the same timeframe a year prior. This marks the most modest GDP growth recorded since the fourth quarter of 2024. The expansion was largely fueled by the non-agricultural sector, which grew by 3.8%, and the agricultural sector, which saw a 4.4% increase. The secondary sector registered a 3.8% growth, bolstered by gains in electricity, gas, water, sanitation, and waste management (5.9%), construction and public works (5.6%), and manufacturing (2.6%). In the tertiary sector, there was a 4.2% rise, primarily due to strong performances in accommodation and food services (7.4%), financial services and insurance (6.8%), education, health, and social work (5.7%), transportation and warehousing (3.5%), and trade and repair of motor vehicles (3.2%). Conversely, fisheries activities faced a significant downturn, plummeting by 24.4%.
