US PCE Prices Seen Rising 0.2%

The U.S. Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index is anticipated to increase by 0.2% for November 2025 on a month-to-month basis. Similarly, the core PCE index, which omits food and energy costs, is also expected to rise by 0.2%. This follows gains of 0.3% and 0.2% recorded in September. Alongside the November figures, the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis is set to release data for October as well. This move is part of the effort to bring the economic data release schedule back to normal following the prior year's government shutdown. When viewed on a year-over-year basis, both the headline and core PCE inflation rates are anticipated to stand at 2.8%, which is close to the peak levels seen in 2024. The PCE price index continues to be the Federal Reserve's preferred indicator for measuring inflation.
