This move is a critical step towards alleviating liquidity challenges and preventing a default. Meanwhile, in the United States, stock futures recorded slight gains following a rally on Wall Street. Investors responded positively to President Trump retracting tariff threats related to Greenland, which helped ease concerns over trade tensions with some European nations. Among prominent gainers on the Hong Kong market were Pop Mart International, up 6.1%, Li Auto at a 3.6% increase, Laopu Gold rising by 3.0%, and Chow Tai Fook advancing 2.6%. Traders are now focused on Hong Kong's forthcoming December inflation data, set to be released later today, particularly after lackluster November results. Additionally, first-quarter business sentiment figures are anticipated on Friday, following an impressive five-quarter high in the second quarter.
