Australia’s labour demand showed a sharp rebound at the start of 2026, with ANZ Job Advertisements rising 4.4% month-over-month in January, according to data updated on 2 February 2026. This marks a notable turnaround from December 2025, when job ads fell 0.8% compared with November.
The January surge in job postings suggests renewed confidence among Australian employers following the year-end softness.
