Argentina’s Inflation Edges Up in January as CPI Ticks to 2.9% MoM

Argentina’s national Consumer Price Index (CPI) inched higher at the start of 2026, with inflation rising to 2.90% month-over-month in January, slightly above December 2025’s 2.80% reading. The latest data, updated on 10 February 2026, indicate a modest acceleration in price growth on a sequential basis.

Measured on a month-over-month basis, January’s “actual” figure compares the change in prices from January 2026 to December 2025, while the “previous” figure reflects the change in December 2025 relative to November 2025. The mild uptick suggests that, although inflationary pressures remain contained compared with past surges, underlying price dynamics are not yet showing a clear path of deceleration at the start of the year.
