Inle is a freshwater lake located in the southern Shan State of Myanmar. As many as 17 villages sit on its banks. Here villagers have a unique lifestyle. Their bamboo houses stand on stilts right in the water. In fact, locals grow vegetables and fruit and cultivate other agricultural products on the lake. However, fishing has been their main activity for ages.

The Mont Saint-Michel Abbey is located in Normandy. Built for the Bernardine monks in the 10th century, it has been perfectly preserved to this day. The abbey is open to tourists. They can visit a local church, galleries, and other buildings of the abbey, including a refectory, and ancient gardens.
