Some kinds of special motor vehicles are designed to perform the difficult tasks. They include Tiger-Stone – a machine for laying block pavements. It was constructed by the Dutch company Vanky 7 years ago.

The Russian BelAZ 75710 is considered to be the world's largest haul truck. Its body capacity is from 450 to 503 tons. The aggregate's weight of every tire amounts to 5 tons. The diesel-electric propulsion is used while working.

One more top performer among the special motor vehicles is the world's largest wheel loader LeTourneau L2350. The bucket width reaches 7.2 meters, ensuring the vehicle's capacity of simultaneous lifting to 75 tons of coals. With 2,300 horsepower the loader uses 4 liters of diesel oil for providing non-stop operation.

One more technological wonder – a huge lorry crane Zoomloin ZACB01 – is oriented for working with wind power plants. It possesses a massive 8-section jib, which is able to lift to 2,000 tons of the payload. Its lengh reaches 160 meters.

SLJ900/32 Segmental Bridge Launching Machine is considered to be a right hand in multispan bridge building. The vehicle is capable to set and fix the segments of the future bridges on pillars.

It's necessary to have recourse to special motor vehicles not only in the case of the earthy objects, but also the space ones. NASA Crawler copes with such work with an excellent mark – an enormous self-propelled platform, that is meant for transportation of the Saturn missiles.

There are only two such platforms. The machine's weight amounts to 2,400 tons. The aggregate is able to carry the payload of up to 6,000 tons. The fuel tank volume of such a platform is 19 thousand liters.

The Krupp Bagger 288 excavator is considered to be the world's largest self-propelled machine. The vehicle's weight is 13,500 tons. During a day it's able to pick up 240 thousand tons of coal with its bucket. The undercarriage's width reaches to 46 meters. By means of it, wide adhesion area with surface and high productiviry are possible.

The Scheuerle self-propelled logistics module approved itself in an unusual task: an object of the historic importance – the Saxon church built in 1258 – was moved to Germany with a help of the machine. The module had to pull 833 tons of the load through 12 kilometers during 6 days. The church was delivered to the place of destination in safe keeping.
