Concurrently, there was a modest rise in employment, with 2,100 more individuals joining the workforce, bringing the total employed population to 5.16 million. The labor underutilization rate, which includes the unemployed, part-time workers unable to secure full-time positions, individuals seeking work but currently unavailable, and those available but not actively searching, also edged up to 10.9% from 10.8%. Furthermore, the employment rate made a slight dip to 64.5% from 64.6%, while the labor force participation rate experienced a nominal increase, moving up to 69.0% from 68.9%.
