In February 2025, Serbia experienced a trade deficit increase to USD 1,058 million, a rise from USD 0.8 billion in the same month the previous year. The country's exports dropped by 7.5% year-on-year to USD 2,514 million, while imports saw a 3.3% increase, totaling USD 3,450 million. According to seasonally adjusted data, both exports and imports decreased by 3% each in February. The leading export commodities included ignition wiring sets at USD 146 million, followed by refined copper at USD 131 million, copper ore and concentrates at USD 94 million, electricity at USD 92 million, and passenger car tires at USD 43 million. On the imports side, natural gas topped the list at USD 191 million, succeeded by crude oil at USD 131 million, retail trade medicaments at USD 121 million, electricity also at USD 92 million, and gas oils at USD 44 million.
