This comes even as investors anticipate a temporary rise in government revenue. Additionally, President Lula's commitment to implement new taxes on US digital companies has intensified apprehensions regarding Brazil's regulatory environment. On the trade side, the looming threat of President Trump's proposed 50% tariff on Brazilian exports has left industrial and commodity sectors cautious. In this climate, WEG emerged as a leader with a 2.1% gain, while Banco Santander Brasil and Itaúsa saw increases of 1.4% and 1.9%, respectively. Conversely, Petrobras and Ambev experienced declines of 0.8% and 1.3% due to concerns over the export sector.
