In July 2025, Moldova's annual inflation rate moderated to 7.9%, down from 8.2% in June. This deceleration was largely attributed to a slower rise in service costs, which increased by 13% compared to 14.6% the previous month, primarily due to a reduction in fuel prices. In contrast, the rate of price escalation for food items continued its upward trend, reaching 10.3% from 10% previously, with notable increases in the prices of vegetables and fruits. Non-food products experienced a slight increase of 2.1%, up from 2% recorded in June. On a monthly comparison, consumer prices remained stable in July, following a 0.2% increase in the prior month.
