In December 2025, Slovakia saw its industrial confidence indicator surge by 11.7 points, reaching a level of 3.7. This marks a significant rebound from the previous month's figure of -8 and is the highest it has been since December 2024. This improvement was largely attributed to a notable rise in expected production, which increased to 29 from -1 in November. Enterprises involved in the manufacturing of coke, refined petroleum products, transport equipment, and chemicals were the primary drivers of this growth. Additionally, the declines in the current level of orders were less pronounced (-18 compared to -25), with particular improvements observed in the manufacturing sectors of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other non-metallic mineral products.
