On Tuesday, the CAC 40 index showed little movement, closing at 8,120 as investors exercised caution in the year's final week. Banking stocks performed notably well, with Societe Generale rising 0.7%, BNP Paribas increasing by 0.5%, and Credit Agricole gaining 0.4%. Thales saw a marginal increase of 0.1% after securing a significant UK contract to supply next-generation portable autonomous command centers for the Royal Navy. In the aerospace and defense sector, Airbus showed slight growth, advancing by 0.04%. The basic resources sector witnessed ArcelorMittal's stocks climb by 0.6%. Conversely, Essilor experienced the largest decline, falling by 0.6%, trailed by Schneider Electric and Bureau Veritas, both down 0.5%, and Capgemini and Veolia, each dropping 0.4%. The CAC 40 is projected to achieve gains exceeding 10% in 2025, maintaining levels close to its record highs.
