FX.co ★ Croatia Retail Sales Growth Eases to Over 2-Year Low

Retail sales growth in Croatia slowed to 1.4% year-on-year in November 2025, down from 4.1% in October. This represents the slowest growth since a decline in March 2023. The moderation was evident in non-food products, which grew by 4.1% compared to 7.7% in the previous month, and in automotive fuels and lubricants, which increased by 6.6% against 9.0% earlier. Simultaneously, there was a 2.6% decrease in sales of food, beverages, and tobacco, following a 1.6% increase in October. Conversely, internet or mail-order trade accelerated, rising by 8.2% compared to 5.1% previously. On a month-to-month basis, retail sales decreased by 2.2%—the sharpest drop since March 2021—reversing the 1.3% rise seen in October, with declines observed across all sectors except for internet or mail-order trade. For the January to November timeframe, retail sales recorded a 3.6% increase compared to the same period the previous year.
