In July 2025, Slovenia experienced a 2.5% increase in tourist arrivals compared to the previous year, with the total reaching 1.05 million—building on a substantial 17.2% growth in June. Overnight stays rose by 3.9% to 2.99 million, making it the most visited July on record. Foreign tourists were responsible for 82% of these stays, with 915,000 arrivals (an increase of 4.7%) and 2.46 million overnight stays (up 6.2%), primarily from Germany, the Netherlands, and Czechia. Conversely, domestic arrivals decreased to 136,738, a decline of 10.2%, with 532,556 overnight stays, down 5.5%. Mountain resorts attracted the most visitors, accounting for 39% of overnight stays, trailed by seaside resorts (20%), health and spa resorts (13%), and Ljubljana (12%). Hotels accommodated 30% of the overnight stays, private accommodations 29%, and campsites 21%. From January to July 2025, overall tourist arrivals increased by 6.7% to 3.85 million, while overnight stays rose by 6.5% to 9.88 million, with foreign visitors contributing a notable 7.32 million overnight stays, up 9.1%.
