In September 2025, Romania's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate remained steady at 5.9% compared to the previous month. The number of unemployed individuals rose modestly by 1,500, reaching a total of 482,500. The unemployment rate for men slightly decreased to 6.1% from August's figure of 6.2%, whereas for women, it experienced a marginal increase to 5.6% from 5.5% in the previous month. Notably, in September 2024, the unemployment rate was slightly lower, at 5.7%.
