EUR/USD
Market Analysis and Insights: EUR/USD is trading around 1.1424 after pulling back from recent multi-week highs as traders rebalance positions ahead of key economic releases from both the Eurozone and the United States. The pair has generally remained supported by improving confidence in the euro area economy and softer U.S. inflation expectations, although renewed safe-haven demand for the U.S. dollar amid geopolitical uncertainty has capped gains. Trading has largely been confined to the 1.1360–1.1475 range in recent sessions, reflecting a market searching for fresh direction. The European Central Bank (ECB) is gradually shifting toward a more neutral policy stance, while the Federal Reserve remains cautious and data-dependent. Investor positioning still favors the euro over the medium term, but elevated Treasury yields and periodic risk-off sentiment continue to support the dollar. Overall, the short-term bias remains moderately bullish while EUR/USD holds above the key 1.1380 support zone, although upside momentum may remain limited until stronger Eurozone data or additional evidence of slowing U.S. inflation emerges. Fundamental Analysis: The euro continues to derive support from improving confidence in the Eurozone's economic outlook despite uneven growth across member states. Inflation has moderated significantly compared with previous years, allowing the European Central Bank to gradually move away from its restrictive policy stance. However, policymakers continue to emphasize that inflation risks have not disappeared, particularly within the services sector where wage pressures remain relatively elevated. Labour markets across much of the euro area continue to show resilience, helping sustain household spending even as manufacturing activity remains under pressure. Germany's industrial sector continues to face challenges from weaker external demand and higher production costs, but stronger performance in southern European economies has partially offset these weaknesses. Foreign investment into European equity and bond markets has improved as investors become more confident that the region can avoid a deep economic slowdown. Political stability across the Eurozone has also improved compared with previous periods, reducing sovereign risk premiums and supporting demand for euro-denominated assets. While the ECB may gradually ease policy further if inflation continues to decline, markets currently expect policymakers to proceed cautiously, preventing a significant deterioration in euro sentiment. The U.S. dollar remains fundamentally supported by the relative strength of the American economy despite growing expectations that the Federal Reserve may adopt a less restrictive monetary stance over the coming months. Recent inflation reports have indicated continued progress toward the Fed's price stability objective, encouraging markets to anticipate a slower pace of policy tightening and potentially further rate reductions if disinflation continues. Nevertheless, employment conditions remain healthy, consumer spending has proven resilient, and overall economic growth continues to outperform many advanced economies. These factors keep U.S. Treasury yields relatively attractive compared with many international alternatives, encouraging continued capital inflows into dollar-denominated assets. At the same time, geopolitical tensions in several regions continue to generate intermittent safe-haven demand for the dollar whenever global risk sentiment deteriorates. Investors therefore remain focused on upcoming U.S. inflation, employment, retail sales, and manufacturing data for clearer guidance regarding future Fed decisions. While expectations for a less aggressive Fed have weighed on the dollar in recent months, resilient macroeconomic fundamentals continue to prevent sustained dollar weakness. Consequently, the balance of fundamental drivers currently favors moderate euro strength but not an extended one-directional rally without additional confirmation from incoming economic data. H4 Chart Technical Analysis: Current price action around 1.1424 suggests that buyers continue defending higher lows while sellers remain active near overhead resistance. Immediate resistance is located around 1.1450, followed by 1.1475, while a sustained breakout above this area would expose the important psychological 1.1500 level. On the downside, initial support appears near 1.1400, followed by stronger demand around 1.1380 and 1.1350. A daily close below 1.1380 would likely encourage additional selling toward 1.1300, while successful defense of current support could attract fresh buying interest. Recent candlestick formations indicate slowing upward momentum rather than a confirmed bearish reversal, with relatively small-bodied candles and long wicks reflecting increasing market indecision. This behavior often precedes either a continuation breakout or a broader corrective phase depending on the next fundamental catalyst. As long as buyers continue protecting higher support levels, the broader technical structure remains constructive despite the recent pause in upward momentum.
